FRANCE : Our 2nd field trip (January 23rd,2017 - Le Thoronet Abbey)

Before to go and visit the Le Thoronet Abbey, the french pupils worked on the Golden Ratio, its properties and its fabulous links with Sciences, Nature and Art.
Here are some materials they used :

Then they did more researches about the Golden Ratio and about the Le Thoronet Abbey, creating some Powerpoint presentations or Word files.
On January 23rd, we all went together to Le Thoronet to discover this incredible place, which is a very peculiar place of our local heritage.
Le Thoronet Abbey is a former Cistercian abbey built in the late twelfth and early thirteenth century, now restored as a museum. It is sited between the towns of Draguignan and Brignoles in the Var Department of Provence, in southeast France.
Here are the pedagogical materials edited by the Le Thoronet Abbey (Centre des Monuments Nationaux (*)).

(*) The "Centre des Monuments Nationaux" is a French government body which conserves, restores, and manages historic buildings and sites which are the property of the French state.

And here is the video about this nice field trip :
